Here is a Black Belt Class photo of Sensei James Gillis's Karate Class. Sensei Gillis has been teaching Karate in Indiana since the 1950's and was a student and a wonderful friend of my father.

 

  

Kancho James Gillis just passed away on 8/1/06 and world has lost one of the most caring individuals I have ever meet. Since my father has passed away, Jim has treated me as if I were his son. His kindness, compassion and most of all his love for Karate will live on thru his students. Like many martial artist's his warmth and knowledge was endless. His entire life was dedicated to his students and family. He was a man of tremendous accomplishments. I will miss him dearly.
